enrich your life

Copeland Greens is an ‘Over 55’ development offering you security, sophistication, convenience and traditional Beecroft attributes.

Beecroft is synonymous with tree-lined streets, classic homes on large leafy blocks, verdant lawns, fragrant gardens and bountiful parks, where residents enjoy the village-style atmosphere and the many sporting and recreational facilities.

Originally Beecroft was orchard country. The railway arrived in 1886 and Sir Henry Copeland, the then Minister of Lands, conducted a survey of the area to determine its suitability as a residential area. He named the suburb after the maiden name of his two wives, Hannah and Mary Beecroft, (two sisters he married in succession). Their names are also remembered through the respective naming of the suburb’s east-west streets; Copeland Road, Hannah Street and Mary Street.

They say there is no cure for the ‘affliction’ that befalls people lucky enough to live at Beecroft. Once you’ve been smitten by the suburb and the close-knit community bonds you’ll love it forever.

The trick is finding a place because locals hold onto their properties. Fortunately we have been lucky enough to secure a rare site at 3-5 Copeland Road, which contains an unique feature: Beecroft’s first residential cottage. Originally built in 1838 but sadly damaged by fire and the ravages of time, remnant sections of the heritage-listed cottage has been preserved, tastefully renovated, and incorporated as a community feature into our estate for all residents to enjoy.

boutique in scale but
grand in concept

Traditionally, moving from a house to a strata development involved certain compromises, but at Copeland Greens there is little downsizing of useable space and certainly no downgrading of comforts.

It has been designed with vision and integrity – a perfect union of form and function that is an exemplary example of intelligent architecture. That’s not surprising. The architect behind the design is Paul Meyer, who has an enviable track record of ‘Over 55’ developments.

Copeland Greens will be his fifth, so he knows what works and what people like.

It all starts with an impressive entry off Copeland Road. Through the porte-cochère and along the wide winding paved road, past intimate garden spaces, mature evergreen trees, luxuriant hedges and climbing plants…all combining to form an ambiance of pure relaxation.

timeless appeal

The 19 residences at Copeland Greens offer a cornucopia of classical comfort that will expand your lifestyle. Meticulously conceived to make for enchanting retreats, they embrace single and double storey options, with two and three bedrooms, and one or two car spaces.

All offer style with functionality; fluid interiors that welcome in sunshine, air and views; warm and reclusive when you need to relax; practical and effusive when you want to entertain. And by getting in early you’ll have a choice of layouts – one, almost certainly, to match your individual needs.

Living here will be a joy for many reasons; not the least being the low strata fees. Because it is a low maintenance estate without costly facilities you’ll have a little more money for life’s essentials… like shopping, dining out, travel and pampering yourself!

quality interiors

The cleverly-configured floorplans provide well-proportioned rooms, with inventive storage solutions making the most of the space. The interiors are free from excessive ornamentation, giving each a contemporary sophistication. Natural materials such as timber and stone abound, providing texture, warmth and subtle contrasts, with no single aspect screaming for attention. This calm, understated elegance and conservative colour palette offers a timeless interior canvas to be embellished as you see fit.

The flawless kitchens have a practical island bench with a breakfast bar, Caesarstone bench tops, colour-back glass splashbacks, polyurethane cupboards, a smart pull-out pantry, and refined taps and spouts. Each is equipped with the latest Miele appliances.

The luxurious bathrooms and en-suites feature vanity benchtops, ceramic floor and wall tiles, heated towel rails, frameless glass mirrors, generous showers and a luxuriant stand-alone bath. Here you can experience resort-style pampering every day.

The spacious bedrooms boast either built-in wardrobes or walk-in robes, high-grade carpets, timber skirtings and architraves. Floor-to-ceiling windows allow natural light to bathe the spacious interiors in a glorious glow and aid the airy feel. It’s enough to raise your excitement level – but the ducted fully-integrated air conditioning will keep you cool all year round!

Wide sliding glass doors provide a seamless transition from the living areas onto north-facing terraces, where you can soak up the sun in privacy, enjoy an alfresco meal or entertain in style.

home sweet office

Because the vast majority of people interested in Copeland Greens will still be active members of the workforce, we’ve ensured each residence has a study/media room that can be turned into a home office. Wired for technology, this enables occupants to work from home.

The lifestyle benefits include saving the commute to and from work, greater flexibility of working hours, and enjoying healthy eating options by being able to prepare meals from the home kitchen.

it’s cool being green

A major attraction of living at Copeland Greens is its natural leafy setting, giving residents the benefits of a tranquil oasis. The private and communal gardens and discrete outdoor seating will make living here a fitting reward for your years of hard work.

Sustainability is an important element in the design which incorporates a range of passive energy saving innovations, including energy-efficient lighting, permaculture initiatives, and individual water tanks which capture runoff from roofs and pathways for recycling on the gardens.

your assurance of quality

A great deal of time and effort has been spent getting all aspects of this project right, assembling a formidable team of consultants in architecture, interior design, landscaping, engineering, heritage and building services to ensure a premium end result that is worthy of this special location.

for the not-so retiring types

An ‘Over 55’ development simply means that one occupant has to be 55 years of age or older. In the case of a couple at least one partner has to have reached this age.

We believe that the moniker ‘Over 55’ is a misnomer, implying it is for retirees and seniors. In fact, the vast majority of people living in an ‘Over 55’ development in Sydney are still working and are extremely active.

Many are empty nesters, who have moved from a large family home. Their kids have grown up and moved away, and the household maintenance has become a chore. Sound familiar?

A lot are baby boomers – that energetic generation born between 1946 and 1964 – who know how to have fun and stay young.

Virtually all are downsizers, looking for more efficient living space, in a well-connected location, where neighbours tend to share similar life experiences and friendships form quickly.

But just because you are ready to downsize your property doesn’t mean you have to downsize your lifestyle. On the contrary. Research shows that in stimulating ‘Over 55’ environments residents actually tend to entertain more and have the confidence to pack-up and travel for extended periods, knowing that their residence is safe, secure and virtually maintenance-free.

If this is the life for you then consider Copeland Greens – 19 large contemporary residences designed to uncompromising standards in a delightful location directly opposite one of Sydney’s nest golf courses.

the benefits of an ‘over 55’ lifestyle

Copeland Greens is much more than ownership of a wonderful residence within a tranquil environment. It is about living in a community that supports one another, and enjoying the company of neighbours that share similar passions, interests and ideas.

Among the practical, financial and emotional reasons why so many people are moving into ‘Over 55’ developments are:

  • Freeing up your time. No more mowing the lawns, tending the garden, maintaining the pool, keeping up with repairs and all the chores associated with running a house.
  • More usable space. When children leave home they also leave behind rooms that only are visited when it’s time to dust.
  • More excitement. There is nothing more energising than living within an active environment, close to shops, cafes, sporting facilities and public transport.
  • Lock up and leave. For those who travel a lot or own a holiday house, locking up and leaving an ‘Over 55’ residence for a protracted period is easy.
  • Less worry. Knowing that your residence is protected by sophisticated security systems gives you peace of mind.
  • Greater safety. In an ‘Over 55’ development there is a better chance to meet people and make friendships, who are more likely to be on hand if you ever need help.
  • Brand new. Not many people get to live in something purpose-built for them, with the latest technologies, fittings and fixtures – and a seven year warranty over workmanship.
  • Community spirit. Overwhelmingly, purchasers will be occupants, not investors. So any potential issues associated with having tenants – or even Airbnb transients – as neighbours is minimal.
  • Lower monthly expenses. Generally speaking, ‘Over 55’ residences are cheaper to run and to maintain. This is especially true at Copeland Greens which has no expensive common area facilities.

well connected

One of the features of Copeland Greens is its proximity to public transport and main arterial roads that connect to and from major points of interest. It is within easy reach of bus routes, a train station, Pennant Hills Road and the M2. So, you are in the envious position of being able to leave your car in the garage and take a bus or a train.
